About the Event
Join us for an inspiring evening featuring two special guest speakers and members of Soroptimist. Sylvia Fowler, MD, will provide valuable insights into breast cancer awareness, prevention, and early detection. Jake Finch, a breast cancer survivor, will share her powerful personal journey of strength, resilience, and hope.
Sylvia Fowler, MD is a recently retired hematologist oncologist, graduate of Loma Linda University School of Medicine, who practiced for over 24 years in the San Fernando Valley at Kaiser Panorama City. She is a general hematologist oncologist and has strong experience in treating various malignancies and blood disorders.
Jake Finch is a journalist, professional quilter and communications professional who now works in public education. In 2016, she was diagnosed with Stage 2a breast cancer, which started a journey that led to six months of chemotherapy, ten surgeries and five years of ongoing treatment.
