October Speaker Meeting

Iris Lee Knell is the Founder and President of Chemocessories. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been a practicing therapist for 35 years. She has held positions at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and worked with many of the school districts in the South Bay. Currently, along with running Chemocessories, Iris works as a middle school counselor and field instructor for graduate social work students. She also maintains a small private practice.

Iris is proud to be a ten year breast cancer survivor who is thriving and loves that her passion has become a successful non-profit to help others. Chemocessories mission is to help women with cancer to hold on to their strength and sense of themselves during treatment. They create personalized sets of accessories including jewelry, scarves and turbans, that are designed to lift spirits and remind each woman that treatment in no way diminishes the beautiful woman within. Chemocessories can be contacted through their website Chemocessories.org, Chemocessories@gmail.com and followed on Instagram and facebook (Chemocessories). Iris will speak about, "how her choice" became her voice; how a passion project turned into a non-profit and has helped close to 10,000 women.
